Amba collectives have their frequency reduced by half

The measure began to take effect from this Thursday at 00, was announced by the business chambers that represent the operators of public transport services of passengers by car. The claim of the companies corresponds to the Buenos Aires Government. However, the measure will also harm the City of Buenos Aires, since several lines have a route through both jurisdictions. In this way, the companies that represent 85% of the providers reported that “the large delays that are verified in the payment of tariff compensation to the companies of provincial and communal jurisdiction of the AMBA have made the situation unsustainable due to the exhaustion of the financing capacity.” If the overdue compensation is not received, the situation could worsen, even reaching the point that some companies must completely suspend benefits, “warned the business chambers.
In this sense, it was specified that the payment is delayed “three weeks ago”. Although the chambers maintain a dialogue with the Minister of Transport of the Province of Buenos Aires, Jorge D’Onofrio, the resolution of the situation does not seem to advance. Officially, they established that “from 00 on January 13” the bus lines will reduce services “to 50% of normal values.” And they warned that “if the arrears are not received, the situation could worsen, even reaching the point that some companies must completely suspend benefits.”
