Six people died and three are hospitalized after two cars collided head-on on National Route 188, between the towns of Van Praet and Realicó, in La Pampa, on Friday afternoon minutes after 7 p.m.In this regard, it was reported that among the six fatal victims there were two minors and among the three interned, two remained in a serious state of health that were saved thanks to the hard work of firefighters, police and several ambulances. The crash happened in a straight area, in which there would be no difficulties and the participation of a third car was ruled out, although it remains to know the expertise of the tragic accident that starred a Toyota Corolla, in which they were heading from Maipú, province of Mendoza, to Necochea and a Citroën C3.
It was also reported that the Toyota was crossed on the asphalt and the Citroën overturned a few meters from the impact. All the passengers of the latter vehicle died on the spot (two adults and three minors). As reported by El Diario de La Pampa, four of the victims were left in the car and one of the children was found in the pastures. While those who made up the Toyota were rescued by health personnel and volunteer firefighters from Realicó, to then be transferred urgently to the hospital in that town. The driver is hospitalized in intensive care at the Santa Teresita Clinic with very serious injuries, as well as a 9-year-old boy who is in “critical condition”.
