Sweden removes all restrictions due to the pandemic from today

Sweden eliminated from Wednesday all the restrictions in force due to the coronavirus pandemic due to the high percentage of the vaccinated population and the lower danger of the ómicron variant.
Sweden thus joins Denmark, the first country in the European Union to lift all restrictions last day 1, and no longer considers covid-19 a “critical” disease for society, although the high contagion in the country remains, with record figures.
The restaurant will be able to remain open from today after 23 hours and all capacity limits will disappear at public events, as well as the recommendation to work from home, reduce indoor contacts and use the mask on public transport, which in Sweden has never been mandatory.
However, some tips are maintained, such as staying at home if you have symptoms, five-day quarantine for infected health personnel and avoiding crowds for the unvaccinated.
Travellers from the European Union and the European Economic Area will be able to freely enter Sweden without having to present a coronavirus test.
83.8% of Swedes over the age of 12 have received the full vaccine regimen, and 53.1% of adults have received the booster dose.
After betting on many recommendations and appealing to individual responsibility in the first wave, the Swedish authorities introduced more restrictions from the second in autumn 2020 and have maintained that line ever since.
The Swedish mortality rate is 157.31 per 100,000 inhabitants, more than double that of Denmark and five times more than Finland, but below most European countries.
