Pandemic forced 35,000 businesses to close in 2020: Concanaco

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the high insecurity rates, more than 35,000 businesses closed their doors in 2020, reported the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco-Servytur). In a remote press conference, the president of this organization, Héctor Tejeda explained that 4.6 percent of the 780,000 business units that group the chambers affiliated with Concanaco closed two years ago due to issues such as pandemic, insecurity, road blockades and others.
