Clandestine synthetic drug laboratory secured in Culiacán

Culiacán, Sinaloa.- The Public Ministry of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) through the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office of Regional Control (FECOR) Sinaloa Delegation, initiated an investigation folder, for a crime against health. According to the investigation, elements of the Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA), located a probable laboratory used for the manufacture of synthetic drugs and handed over the site to the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) and personnel of Expert Services, to carry out inspection, processing and investigation tasks. The place was located in the vicinity of the town of Monte Redondo, in the Sindicatura de Sanalona in Culiacán, Sinaloa, where they secured two tons 699 kilos 994 grams eight milligrams of benzyl cyanide, two thousand 599 liters 800 milliliters of hydrochloric acid, 449 kilos 997 grams six milligrams of sodium cyanide, 49 liters 998 milliliters of benzyl chloride and two thousand 499 liters 920 milliliters containing benzyl cyanide. In addition, 149 liters 990 milliliters containing phenyl 2 propanone, two thousand 899 liters 980 milliliters containing benzyl chloride, 129 liters 980 milliliters of toluene, as well as metal structures and gas tanks.
