The country will send white helmets to assist and guarantee the departure of Argentines from Ukraine

“The deployment of the mission was ordered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Nation, Santiago Cafiero, within the framework of an articulated work between the foreign ministries of several Latin American countries,” the ministry said in a statement.
The objective was to “define the mechanisms of safe and orderly exit for Latin Americans trying to leave for Poland.” In this regard, Foreign Minister Cafiero met on Monday with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Peter Maurer, at the headquarters of this organization in Geneva, where they discussed the work articulated with White Helmets in regard to the help of those who wish to graduate from Ucrania.La president of White Helmets, Sabina Frederic, activated the formation of a Mobile Consulate composed of consular personnel, and specialized volunteers to assist Latin Americans arriving from Ukraine to the border of Poland.The objective is to facilitate the documentary processing, provide psychological containment, and facilitate the logistical means for their displacement to the destination where they are going, it was reported. The activation for the deployment of White Helmets began last Thursday when Frederic and the other authorities of the agency began remote work together with the Argentine ambassador to Ukraine, Elena Mikusinski; the ambassador in Poland, Ana María Ramírez and the diplomatic representation in Romania to assist the Argentine population.
From the beginning of the war, the White Helmets established channels of contact and permanent assistance with the Argentine representations in Eastern Europe in order to provide assistance for the immediate evacuation of those who managed to be contacted by the diplomatic authorities in Ukraine.
