The format of the tournament will be long, one round robin in 22 dates and will end in October. Being odd, a team of 21 will be free per day. The champion team will qualify for the 2023 Copa Libertadores.
The participating clubs must have at least 12 players as professionals with a contract registered with the AFA (at the beginning of the path to professionalization there were at least 8 contracts).
The winner of the tournament, in addition to the quota for the Libertadores 2023, will obtain the right to play the 2022 Women’s Super Cup against the winner of the 2022 Federal Cup.
Meanwhile, the relegations will return: the three clubs that finish in the last three places of the standings (19th, 20th and 21st) will lose the category.
