They enact the law that promotes the bicycle as a means of healthy transport

The Buenos Aires government today enacted a law that aims to promote and encourage the safe use of the bicycle as a healthy and sustainable means of transport throughout the territory of the province of Buenos Aires.La initiative, by the senator of the Frente de Todos Luis Vivona, was sanctioned by the Buenos Aires Legislature on March 16 and provides for the creation of the Provincial Road Safety Program for Cyclists. guarantee the road safety of cyclists and deploy awareness and sensitization campaigns, regarding the need to promote the use of the bicycle as a means of healthy transport.
Also promote in those who request or renew their license to drive cars and / or motorcycles, values that generate behaviors of respect and safety towards the road circulation of cyclists, and encourage the use of the bicycle as the main means of transport. It will be the Executive Power that determines the enforcement authority, which must carry out awareness campaigns, organize training courses, seminars and mass communication actions aimed at guaranteeing the road safety of cyclists. In addition, it will have to generate cartography and georeferenced information that, when identifying the roads, includes the networks of bicycle paths and bike paths that are both on provincial routes and roads and in the urban layout of the municipalities to provide greater knowledge when it comes to circulating both cyclists and other vehicle drivers.
