Diablo Immortal comes out in June on mobile phones and PC

Blizzard Entertainment surprised fans when it announced that Diablo Immortal, the new installment of the popular role-playing saga, will debut on June 2. The surprise was twofold because the studio confirmed only today that the game, presented at the end of 2018 as an exclusive title for Android and iOS, will also be available on PC. The release of both versions will be simultaneous, but on PC it will be in open beta status for the first few weeks, to make minor updates and changes based on player feedback. Anyway the PC delivery will be the complete game, with all the classes and scenarios. The main differences will be in the graphical quality and user interface and controls, which will adapt to the keyboard and mouse or joystick on the platform.

The good news is that the game will be compatible with cross-play and cross-progression, which means that PC and mobile users will be able to share games, and also the saved games of one platform will work on the other (through a Battle.net account). Thus, it will be possible to play the game during the day on the cell phone anywhere, and when you get home at night continue the adventure on the PC without inconvenience.” It’s important to us to assure you that Immortal will deliver an uncompromising AAA mobile experience when played on a Windows PC,” Blizzard explains in the official announcement. “To make sure of that, Diablo Immortal will be released on PC in open beta. What this means is that you’ll be able to bring the fight to the burning hell legions on PC from launch with full cross-play and cross-progression support.” Diablo Immortal will be released with six classes and a huge world to travel, in a story that takes place between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 within the canon of the saga, after the expansion Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. The studio promises new characters, stories and content as part of “a living experience that will be constantly evolving”. Blizzard Entertainment has already enabled registrations for the game on the official site so you can receive information before anyone else and play it from day one. Diablo Immortal is going to be free on both mobile devices and PC.
