Mineduc Releases Winter Transition Test Results: Reviews Process Details

This Friday, August 5, the results of the Winter Transition Test were published, which yielded more than 30 thousand students in the first days of July. In this way, the scores obtained are suitable to apply to the 2023 and 2024 admission process, according to what was reported by the Ministry of Education.
Under the above, 88% of the more than 30,000 students who gave this test improved their scores compared to the previous Transition Test, according to ADN.
Specifically, 49% increased their scores in Mathematics, 68% increased their scores in Reading Comprehension, 57% increased their scores in Science, and 74% increased their scores in History and Social Sciences.
In that sense, people who took the winter PDT, “today have the possibility to choose the best scores to be able to access the university in the admission process that will open in January. In this way, we are seeking greater equity and better opportunities so that students who dream of pursuing university studies do not risk their lives in a single test, but have more options, “said the Undersecretary of Higher Education, Verónica Figueroa.
With the results in hand, you should know when the process of admission to higher education begins.
According to Mineduc, the application process will begin on January 3, 2023, after the delivery of the results of the new Higher Education Access Test (PAES).
For this, you must bear in mind that until this August 10, 2022, the registration period for the PAES ends. And November 28, 29 and 30 is the surrender of the test.
The delivery of results of the scores will be the same day that the application to higher education begins, that is, from January 3. So the day the centralized application ends will be January 6.

Finally, on January 17, the results of the applications to the chosen establishments will be announced.
