Violence in Jalisco and Guanajuato was for the arrest of criminal bosses: AMLO

The acts of violence, attacks and burning of vehicles in the states of Guanajuato and Jalisco were caused by alleged criminal gangs after an operation by the Ministry of Defense (Sedena), Said President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
“Apparently there was a meeting, a meeting of two gangs, and the Ministry of Defense arrived, there was a confrontation, there were arrests, this was what caused the burning of vehicles, not only in Jalisco but in Guanajuato,” he said.
The president explained that there are people detained in both Jalisco and Guanajuato, “apparently leaders of groups,” although he did not specify who they are or how many.

Lopez Obrador said military and police elements remain in the area to arrest more criminals.
“Yes, there are still the Sedena, the police in the area, because they are looking to arrest more alleged criminals,” he said.
