Rugby Championship: The Pumas beat Australia 48-17

The Argentine men’s rugby team, Los Pumas, reached the victory against Australia at the Bicentenario stadium in San Juan by 48 to 17.Juan Imhoff scored the first try and Emiliano Boffelli did not fail with his feet, so in just the first minute of play Los Pumas were 7-0 in. At five, Thomas Gallo supported and Boffelli hit again, to which the score was 14-0 in favor of the national team. The Wallabies narrowed the gap to 10, but Jerónimo De la Fuente – and Boffelli – took the score to 21-10. For his part, Juan Martín González stretched the lead to reach the break with a difference of 16 points. In the second half, a penalty from Boffelli put things 29 to 10 and converted again after a new try by Gallo that practically sentenced the triumph of the albiceleste team, which took the bonus point. The Pumas settled the duel with a try from Boffelli, who then failed in the conversion, and with another from Tomás Albornoz to put the forceful 48 to 17 final. In total, both teams met on 38 occasions, with seven victories for Argentina, three draws and 28 losses. Now, the National Team will travel to New Zealand because the Rugby Championship continues with two matches against the All Blacks, on August 28 and September 3.
