Covid-19 balance: Minsal reports 6,767 new cases and deaths reached 60,236 since the beginning of the pandemic

The Ministry of Health made a new assessment of the Covid-19 situation in the country, where 6,767 new cases were reported, of which 6,380 correspond to symptomatic people and 1,080 did not present symptoms. In addition, there were 2,224 positive PCR tests that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,449,016. and recovered patients reached 4,341,007 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
In addition, the death of 34 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 60,236 since the beginning of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 12.08% nationwide.
As for the active cases, these reached 41,028 people and pcr tests amounted to 51,668 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 43,455,513.
Meanwhile, there are 158 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 101 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In the same vein, the hospital capacity has 1,965 critical beds enabled and 303 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 10.17%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Araucanía, Coquimbo and Antofagasta.
