Health records 1,223 new cases and 55 deaths

The Ministry of Health announced that at the end of this August 30, 6,223 new cases of COVID-19 were counted. Regarding deaths, 55 were recorded.

Since the pandemic began, Mexico has registered 7 million 021 thousand 598 total cases and 329,456 deaths from COVID-19.

According to the technical report, the incidence rate of cumulative cases is 5,396 per 100,000 inhabitants.
While the distribution by sex in confirmed cases shows a predominance in women (53.2%). The median age overall is 38 years.
So far, the entities where the majority of cases have been registered are Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Tabasco, Puebla and Sonora.

Mexico has gone through five waves of infections and the authorities insist that the current wave is already down.
However, a week ago, the authorities themselves also acknowledged that it is possible that there will be a new uptick in the months of October, November and December, when the cold season begins.
