5 police officers and the director of the corporation in Calera are killed

Six municipal police officers from Calera de Víctor Rosales, Zacatecas, were killed, including the director of the corporation, in an armed attack that occurred on Wednesday morning.
The elements were exercising, in a sports unit, when armed men assaulted them with firearms, leaving five police officers dead, reported the state table of Peace Construction and Security of Zacatecas.
The director and deputy director of the corporation arrived at the scene of the attack, but were injured.

During the transfer for medical attention, the director of the cooperation died.

Zacatecas Governor Laments “Cowardly” Attack
The governor of Zacatecas, David Monreal, instructed the Peacebuilding table to act with opportunity and efficiency to find the culprits.

He called the attack “cowardly” and expressed his condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the police officers who lost their lives.

According to the first reports of the Peacebuilding table, operational actions are still continuing and the investigation is ongoing.
