“Causeway,” A24’s New Drama with Jennifer Lawrence Reveals Trailer

Jennifer Lawrence stars in “Causeway,” the new A24 drama that unveiled its first official trailer. There, the Oscar winner (for “The Bright Side of Life”) plays Lynsey, a military engineer returning to the United States from Afghanistan after suffering a debilitating brain injury after the explosion of an IED. This was announced by the specialized American media Variety, about the new premiere of the studio creator of prestigious films such as “The Lighthouse”, “Diamonds in the Rough”, “Moonlight” (Oscar winner), “The Witch”, “Midsommar”, “All Everywhere At The Same Time”, “The Man of the North” among so many films.

“Causeway” features the directorial debut of Lila Neugebauer (noted for directing Broadway plays such as “The Waverly Gallery” and “Maid”). Written by Ottessa Moshfegh, Luke Goebel and Elizabeth Sanders, it is produced by Lawrence (who comes from starring in “No Miren Arriba” alongside Leonardo DiCaprio) alongside Justine Ciarrocchi.

Co-starring Brian Tyree Henry, who last year released Marvel Studios’ blockbuster film “Eternals,” where he played Phastos; “Causeway” was presented this year at the Toronto International Film Festival (where the Argentine “El Suplente” with Juan Minujín and the imminent “The Wonder”, with Florence Pugh) passed.

It opens November 4 in select U.S. theaters and globally on Apple TV+.
