Violence continues to plague Michoacán, Jalisco and Guerrero. In recent days, social networks and local media have reported a series of clashes that have left dozens dead in different areas of both entities.
One of these alleged clashes was part of a revenge.

As narrated by José Alfredo Hurtado, alias “El Fresa”, and alleged member of La Familia Michoacana, after the attack in San Miguel Totolapan, in Guerrero, he decided to go against Los Tequileros, a group that perpetrated the massacre on Wednesday, October 5 and in which Mayor Conrado Mendoza died.
In a video uploaded by Hurtado himself, he narrated that what happened in the place was because they were going after him; however, he managed to escape.
In that same recording, “El Fresa” said that he had already finished with all those who broke into Totolapan, whom he identifies as “Los Tequileros” and showed how the cars of his alleged enemies were.

He assured that everything got out of control and while he was fleeing, one of those groups caught up with them; that’s where the massacre happened.
“I was very upset, actually very upset about what happened and we didn’t really leave a scumbag there. I decided they didn’t even deserve to be buried, why? Because they blew up the fence when they went to that town, a quiet town,” said “El Fresa”.

For that violent event, the authorities have not issued any statement or revealed the death toll. However, they announced that they are investigating the video published by Hurtado.
Violence between Michoacán and Jalisco
Another of the violent acts; and in which more than 20 deaths are reported, occurred in Tierra Caliente, in the area of Tazumbos, municipality of Jilotlán de Dolores, Jalisco, very close to Buenavista Tomatlán, on the side of Michoacán.
According to videos circulating on social media, the confrontation is between members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and The United Cartels.
In the videos, detonation is heard, the bodies are seen lying down and the alleged criminals are heard celebrating the massacre.

The events were confirmed by Father José Segura Barragán, who states that during the afternoon of October 7 he heard the shooting, but that he could not confirm the number of dead.
“They faced everything and it seems that they died, because it is not known exactly nor can it be corroborated, because people are afraid and do not say anything, but in some news that came out, which were at least 17 victims, casualties,” he said in a video.
The priest claims that he was informed of that massacre, but that so far the authorities have not released details of these events.

In this regard, the Ministry of Public Security reported that it had no records of any confrontation in the area.
“After the dissemination on social networks about alleged clashes between groups of armed civilians in the Tierra Caliente region, we have no record of these events; however, we continue the operational work coordinated with the federation and municipalities,” reads the agency’s tweet.
Later, in a statement, they detailed that they maintain 7 Inter-institutional Operations Bases (BOI), which are installed in Apatzingán, Álvaro Obregón, Parácuaro, El Aguaje, El Terrero, El Lindero and Pinzándaro.
“Also, 5 BOI corresponding to the Coalcomán region remain in operation: Aguililla, Chinicuila, El Salitre, Ticuilican and Dos Aguas; and it should be noted that arrests and seizures of drugs and weapons have been achieved thanks to this strategy,” they announced.
Animal Político consulted with Jalisco authorities, and after a day of waiting, they assured that they also had no records of any confrontation.
