Alberto Fernández: “When we arrived we had an absolutely decimated public health system”

President Alberto Fernández inaugurated today the new building of the Hospital of Medium Complexity “Dr. Ramón Carrillo” in San Martín de Los Andes, where he stressed the importance of a present State “to overcome the inequities and inequalities that society generates.” This is a time where we have to be more united than ever, because we have a great opportunity. After so much difficult time let’s bet on joint construction, on the idea that we are all necessary, that this way we will continue to give, as with this hospital, better living conditions to Argentines and Argentines, “said Fernández.Accompanied by the governor of Neuquén, Omar Gutiérrez, by the local mayor, Carlos Saloniti, the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis, and the head of the provincial health portfolio, Andrea Peve, the President stressed that there are currently “280 works only dedicated to health, which means 45 billion pesos invested throughout the country,” while recalling that in 2019 “what we had was an absolutely decimated public health system.”
“We made more than 30 modular hospitals at high speed, distributed more than 4,000 automatic ventilators, and worked side by side with all the governors,” said the President.

Fernández made special mention of the potential of the province of Neuquén and said that Vaca Muerta “will not only give the gas” to self-supply the country, but will give the opportunity “to give the world, the energy that the world is demanding.” “We can build another country with another structure founded in the heart of Neuquén in Vaca Muerta,” he said. For his part, Governor Omar Gutiérrez thanked the president “for the respect in each of our dialogues, our steps, our consensus, with the different perspectives and trajectories,” and acknowledged that “you have always respected what the National and Provincial Constitution proposes, real federalism, the one that is integrated, that of coordination.”
