Use of face masks at airports and flights will not be mandatory

The use of face masks in airport facilities and on board an airplane will no longer be mandatory, reported the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC), after the Ministry of Health released new guidelines for the healthy continuity of economic activities in the face of COVID-19.
However, he pointed out that in the event that air transport concessionaires and permittees detect a person or group of people with any symptoms related to COVID-19 or respiratory diseases, the use of masks will be recommended.
“Until the health authorities modify the sanitary protocols inherent in the use of masks, it is reported that for airport facilities and in the passenger cabins of aircraft, the use of masks will not be mandatory,” the agency reported.

Government relaxes use of face masks
The federal government relaxed recommendations for the use of face masks, after more than two years of pandemic and weeks in which COVID-19 cases are on the decline.
On October 7, he presented the Guidelines for the healthy continuity of economic activities in the face of COVID-19, which stipulates that masks are only recommended in open and closed spaces where there is no healthy distance.
In this way, people will be able to stop using it in open spaces with healthy distance, as well as in closed spaces where there is good ventilation and there is at least one and a half meters of separation between people.
