Four houses are burned after arson attack on the shore of Lake Lanalhue

During the night of Thursday, October 19, a new arson attack was reported on the shore of Lake Lanalhue, commune of Contulmo, Bio Bío region, affecting four homes.
According to preliminary information, residents of the sector heard gunshots and vehicles moving through the area before the fire alarm sounded. Firefighters from the commune of Contulmo went to the place after 23:00. For his part, the prosecutor on duty delegated the first proceedings to the Carabineros.

According to La Tercera, there are no records of injured people, since the homes did not have their inhabitants at the time of the attack.
Carabineros Lieutenant Colonel Oscar Sandoval said that there were four summer cabins – those that were uninhabited – that were set on fire. In addition, he added that no canvases or banners attributable to any cause or claim were found.
There are 22 cabins burned in this sector so far in 2022.
Faced with this scenario, the president of the Foundation of Victims of Terrorism of the Southern Macrozone, Fernando Fuentealba, criticized the Government in the way it tries to control the rule of law in the Province of Arauco, demanding his visit to the area.
