The 15-year-old girl disappeared in Villa Devoto since Thursday, October 27, was found on November 1 along with a 42-year-old man in the Retiro bus station. The subject, identified as Areco, pleaded not guilty to being responsible for the kidnapping but even so the Justice determined that he will remain imprisoned until his procedural situation is resolved. The young woman was found in Retiro with the 42-year-old man

This Tuesday, November 1, the young woman was found in the bus terminal of Retiro with different clothes than the one she was wearing the day she left home to go to school. When she was found, she was wearing a San Lorenzo club jacket and a black jogging. According to her parents, the last time they saw the teenager was when she left home to go to school on Thursday morning, but the institution informed them that she never arrived. At the moment, the young woman identified as J., did not testify and since Tuesday she is interviewed by a group of psychologists in the framework of a containment work. Meanwhile, Areco was arrested accused of kidnapping and concealment but in front of the prosecutor of the case, Monica Cuñarro, denied having participated in the event. During the days she was missing, the girl’s family called her cell phone and on one occasion answered a male voice asking for a ransom of $ 3 million. After the extortion call, the police were able to find the address from where the communication was made.

Areco kidnapped by the Federal Police

The authorities were able to verify that the call was made from a house located in Barrio 31, where an operation was mounted to search that home. There, a SIM card in the name of Areco that had been inserted into the young woman’s cell phone was seized. Finally, J. was found by personnel of the Anti-Kidnapping Division Brigade of the Argentine Federal Police, in front of platform 7 of that place, under directives from the head of the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office number 7, Mónica Cuñarro.

The information about where she was arose after the complaint of a witness who said he had seen her days ago at the Retiro Bus Terminal Station. Another operation was carried out immediately and police officers managed to find the minor. It was not yet possible to determine why the man and the young woman were in the Retiro terminal, but the investigation has already revealed several hypotheses. For the Justice the man did not act alone and that is why the Ministry of Security of the Nation and its forensic doctors were given intervention to carry out the expert reports to find the accomplices.
