Alexis Guerrera would leave the Ministry of Transport due to a health problem

Transport Minister Alexis Guerrera will leave office in the coming days due to a health problem, government sources confirmed. However, there is no certainty whether he will resign from his position or be asked for a license. According to Infobae, the leader of the Frente Renovador, close to the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, will meet with President Alberto Fernández to finish deciding his future, but the sure thing is that he will not continue at the head of the portfolio. It could be temporary or permanent. The former mayor of General Pinto, assumed the position of Minister of Transport on May 3, 2021 replacing his predecessor, Mario Meoni, also of the Frente Renovador, who died in a traffic accident when he was on his way to visit his family in the Junín party.

Guerrera shared today with Alberto Fernández the inauguration of works at the La Plata station of the Roca Line of railroads, in an act that also participated the governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof. “There is, behind each station that we renovate, the political will of a government that understands that the users of our trains deserve to have a quality service and that is achieved with investments that dignify the railway system,” said the official after the workday. After the ceremony, Guerrera met with his current Secretary of Transportation, Diego Giuliano, who sounds to succeed him at the head of the portfolio.
