Trial for Public Works: Cristina Kirchner speaks for the last time before the court

Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner will have the opportunity to speak for the last time in the oral trial for public works in Santa Cruz on Tuesday. Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9:30 a.m. in the trial of Vialidad: ‘last words’. That’s how they tell him …”, the former president simply wrote on her Twitter account, implying that today she will pronounce herself again before the court, before the verdict that, it is expected, will come out before the end of the year.

Cristina Kirchner is indicated by prosecutors Diego Luciani and Sergio Mola as the head of an illicit association that operated between 2003 and 2015 and for fraudulent administration, and faces a request for a sentence of 12 years in prison and life disqualification from holding public office. Once this stage is concluded, the judges of the Federal Oral Court 2, Rodrigo Giménez Uriburu, Jorge Gorini and Andrés Basso will set the date on which the sentence will be announced.

The former president had several interventions throughout the process. The last one was at the pleadings stage, where he took aim at the prosecutors and denounced a political and judicial persecution against him. On the other hand, in his last intervention, prosecutor Diego Luciani defended the solidity of his argument and chose not to ask for “replies” from the defense of the 13 defendants in the case.
