From the phone to the cinema: “The Tangalanga method”, starring Martin Piroyansky revealed its trailer

“The Tangalanga Method”, the film that adapts the story of Julio Victorio de Risso, better known as Doctor Tangalanga, who became a revelation of his time for starting to make telephone jokes. Now performed with Martin Piroyansky (who comes from “Porno y helado”), he presented his first official trailer. Directed by Mateo Bendesky (“Los miembros de la familia”, “Acá adentro”), this comedy will place us in the Buenos Aires of 1962, and more specifically in the life of Jorge Rizzi -reference to Risso-, a shy employee in the sale of soaps whose routine takes a 360° turn when he begins to use humor to encourage a boarding school friend (Alan Sabbagh) and encourage himself to talk to the lady at the reception (Julieta Zylbergberg), Although things “soon get out of control”, as the synopsis anticipates. And his jokes will take on an excessive transcendence. With a cast that completes Rafael Ferro, Luis Machín, Luis Rubio, Lucía Maciel, Antonella Saldicco, and the special participation of Silvio Soldán; the film had its first presentation at the recent 37th edition of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, where it received the first laughter from the audience. The film promises to recover in the cinema not only an era but the precedent of the ingenuity of Doctor Tangalanga who from 1989 to 2013 sold more than 250,000 copies of his telephone jokes, becoming a unique character in his time with names that he immortalized as: Salustiano Ramón Juan Antonio Vergatiesa”, or surnames such as: Tahretti, Rabufetti, Raulito, Quintana, Tarufeti, Zarrasqueta, Caparazo, Carabali, Durañona, Fiorito, Gandolfi, Varela. Risso died on December 26, 2013, but his legacy is transformed into a film that will hit national screens on January 19, 2023. It will then be available on the Star+ platform.
