According to NA, the officials who were at the Ezeiza Airport were the Minister of the Interior, Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro; the head of the National Directorate of Migration, Florencia Carignano; the head of the Airport Security Police (PSA), José Glinsky; and the general director of Customs, Guillermo Michel. In turn, the president of Aerolineas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani; the ambassador of Qatar in Buenos Aires, Battal Meajeb Al Dosari; and the CEO of Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, Daniel Ketchibachian. Even employees of all the agencies involved held an “Honor Guard” on the red carpet. The objective of the authorities who appeared in Ezeiza was not to delay or hinder the arrival of the squad but to facilitate and expedite their arrival and departure from the airport, in whose vicinity tens of thousands of people had gathered to greet the players.
