A new season of “Naked Survival” premieres

Discovery premieres a new season of “Naked Survival.” As reported in a statement, it will hit the screen on February 2 at 10:00 p.m. From Chiapas and an abandoned village in Botswana, to a complex and bewildering cave system in Colombia, this season takes these brave men and women to places where location alone is enough to embarrass even the most experienced of survivors. After passing through an old house in the middle of the jungle, which is rumored to be haunted, two survivors will question everything when nothing seems to go right. And when two more survivors stumble upon an abandoned African village, they’ll learn the hard way what drove the villagers to flee and leave everything behind.
For the first time in the program, a couple of participants must not only survive among hundreds of elephants on the Limpopo River, but also overcome a language barrier that makes even the smallest of tasks impossible. Another novelty of the season is the participation of a trans person among the survivors, pairing with a South African farmer, as well as a survivor with Asperger’s who finds ways to overcome challenges she did not think possible.
There will also be a special “tribes” episode where two teams must reach the halfway point in South Africa, where they will meet and combine resources to try to finish the challenge together as a group. And in a true torch pass, the adult children of two stars of the show try their luck in a 14-day challenge in Mexico to see if they have what it takes to live up to their parents’ legendary reputation.
