National series “La vida de nosotras” will close its last chapter with the story of Antonia Barra

With a successful reception by the public, during this night the last chapter of the series La vida de nosotras will be broadcast. Audiovisual project that addresses 16 different stories of women victims and survivors of gender violence in the country.
The project has been widely highlighted by feminist organizations and even by public authorities, because the series uses a non-revictimizing narrative with a gender perspective.

Cases such as Nicole Casilla, Joane Florvil, Lorenza Cayuhan and Nicole Saavedra, are some of the stories that the series has been able to portray, from the hand of the protagonists themselves and their families.
The case of Antonia Barra, a young woman who committed suicide after being a victim of rape in September 2019, will be the story that will close the audiovisual initiative that was directed by Bárbara Barrera.

It should be noted that Antonia’s case returned to public opinion after the Supreme Court decided to annul the trial that had as its only defendant Martín Pradenas, accused of rape and repeated sexual abuse against her and six other women.
The court’s reason for overturning the trial was the impartiality of one of the judges, who issued comments on the case on his social media. However, the highest court did not question substantive issues such as the gender perspective that was applied during the process.
The last chapter of La vida de nosotras will be broadcast today at 22:40 hours on TVN. In addition, all episodes are available for free on the CNTV streaming platform.
