Balance for forest fires: 178 throughout the country, nine injured and 107 homes damaged

The National Service for Disaster Prevention and Response (Senapred) made a balance on Friday morning for the forest fires affecting the country. In this regard, he said that there are 178 throughout the country, nine injured and 107 damaged homes.
Regarding forest disasters, Senapred indicated that of the 178, 39 are in combat and 139 controlled. In turn, of the total, 19 are the most relevant and are concentrated in the regions of Ñuble, Biobío and La Araucanía and have affected an approximate area of 8 thousand hectares.

As a result of the fires, there are nine people injured: one person with burns in the Ñuble Region and eight firefighters with minor injuries.
From the Senapred also detailed that there are 107 homes with some type of damage.
In turn, they pointed out that they have sent “48 emergency alert messages for cell phones, both for evacuation processes and reinforcement of these processes. Specifically, we have sent, even in the early hours of yesterday, a total of 30 messages for the Biobío Region and 17 for the Ñuble Region.”
They also reported that there are shelters enabled in the communes of Chillán, Chillán Viejo, Quirihue, Quillón and Coelemu in the Ñuble Region
