Mayor of Quillón stars in outrage while on his way to the municipality: affected worker was slightly injured

The mayor of the commune of Quillón, Miguel Peña, ran over a worker of the garbage extraction company, Altramuz, while he was heading to the municipality located in the Ñuble region.
Specifically, the event took place between the streets Carrera and San Martín, at which time the mayor would have descended from his car to grant aid to the affected. Peña called the Health Center to have the man transferred to Cesfam Dr. Alberto Gyra Soto, where it was later determined that he was slightly injured.
After the situation, the Municipality of Quillón reported that “Mayor Migue Peña made the complaint of the fact to Carabineros in the Deputy Commissioner of Quillón, being subjected to the expertise of rigor, derived from this type of accidents.”
“The mayor, in his capacity as a natural person, will provide all the necessary support to the worker, so he is constantly monitoring the protocol activated in this type of situation, in which he was exposed,” they complemented from the municipality.
After it was determined that the worker was only slightly injured, he was referred to the Mutual Security -as indicated in the protocol-, since it is a worker who suffered an accident in the exercise of his duties.
