Emiliano Brancciari presented his solo album and unstitched it on the stage of the Vorterix theater

The singer and composer of the consecrated Uruguayan band No Te Va Gustar, Emiliano Brancciari presented his first solo album “Cada Segundo Dura una Eternidad” in Buenos Aires, which went on sale on December 16, 2022 and with a musical amplitude typical of Emiliano, goes through rock, folk, pop, funk. After filling stadiums with Note, releasing “Luz” -NTVG’s latest studio material- and being in “an unbeatable moment of the band”, Emi decided to give rise to an album that is “much more personal, intimate and stripped of instrumentation”. This is how “Cada Segundo Dura una Eternidad” was born, an album that was recorded in the United States, produced by Héctor Castillo, the same producer of the last NTVG albums and who also worked with Gustavo Cerati. The pandemic was the kick-off to compose: “When we finished Luz, we still had a year without being able to play live, everything was closed. So with that creative push I continued composing. For the first time, without thinking about my teammates and the band,” he told Filo.News exclusively. I talked about it with the band, I had already been showing them the songs and as part of a healthy place, they support me and are super happy that I put on these challenges and be happy doing other things, “explained Emiliano regarding his colleagues of No Te Va Gustar.La new band is formed by Pablo “Chamaco” Abdala on drums -original member of NTVG- who unstitched it and was applauded by the notevagueros, Enrique “Checo” Anselmi on bass with a lot of power, Gonzalo Vivas and Lula Isnardi on guitars that pulled incredible solos, and Lucía Romero on keyboard that sounded excellent. When asked about the content of the lyrics, which delve into the swing of love relationships and pain, Emiliano said that “the pandemic was a moment of reflection in every sense then, I shot everywhere”, referring to his past loves, although he stressed that there is also a bit of “fantasy and fiction”. With the full room chanting his name and with emotions on the surface, at 21.15 Emiliano Brancciari’s show started at the Vorterix theater, in what was the last date of the tour of Buenos Aires, to the rhythm of De esos días, which is the song that gives the name to his solo work with a phrase that reads: “Every Second Lasts an Eternity”, when a person who cannot sleep, the person of whom the song speaks feels a pain that cannot be shaken, but at the same time tries to cheer up and then understands that it is better to get to the root of that pain to “from there go back”. During the show he talked a lot with the audience and told them: “I’m nervous, but less than yesterday”, laughing and with his glasses well on, which help him feel less pressure during the show. In that sense, Emiliano told Filo.News that it generates “more nerves” to play for fewer people, than in a full stadium. “I’m more nervous about a theater than a stadium, because you see people’s expressions. It makes me much more nervous. But it’s great, because it motivates me,” he explained, although he acknowledged that “he has the support of many people.” During the show she went over the 12 songs of Every Second Lasts an Eternity randomly in a show in which Emi decided to give herself “pleasures”. During the two hours of recital he was encouraged to play unpublished songs, which he said at the time did not show them to NTVG or the band itself dismissed them and he liked them and there were also covers that wanted to “get the desire to sing live” as El Corralero by Horacio Guaraní, which he said was played in the barbecues of his house when he was a boy; and I feel much better by Charly García, song with which he exploded the Vorterix Theater. And how could it be otherwise, after 22 hours, Emi said she was going to play “a song of some friends” and began to sound the chords of Quemará una perlita of the first album of No Te Va Gustar, that as he told this media “they did not play it live with the band”. For the old “notevagueros” it was a caress to the heart and for the younger followers, an opportunity for artistic rediscovery. And towards the end of the recital he took the opportunity to play a song with his godson Gonzalo Brancciari, who was also his opening act. He also had the luxury of singing in English with a cover of Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams, which exploded and closed with Korea dancing.
