Until when can I change my electoral address in the Servel?

The Electoral Service of Chile (Servel) called on Chileans to request the change of electoral address within the framework of the “Agreement for Chile”, which seeks to create a new proposal for a Constitution for our country.
Based on this, the agency advised to review the dates set in the schedule, which emphasizes that next January 26 at 11:59 p.m. is the deadline to request the change of electoral address, or for any modification or update of data.
It should be noted that the vote will be on May 7 of this year, and aims to elect the Constitutional Councilors, a body composed of 50 people that will be in charge of drafting the proposal of the new Magna Carta.
The procedure can be carried out with the Unique Key on the Servel website or in person at the Regional Directorates of the agency, at the offices of Chile Atiende and at the offices of the Civil Registry.
The importance of updating the data is directly related to the legal changes that were applied in the country, where it was decreed that the Servel must designate voting places that are close to the homes of citizens, in order to facilitate transfers and save time in the voting process.
To avoid inconveniences, the president of the Board of Directors of Servel, Andrés Tagle Domínguez, called to review the electoral situation, since “many of the claims for poor georeferencing are due to an outdated electoral address.” In addition, the agency said that until yesterday, Tuesday, January 17, 222,018 requests for change of electoral address have been registered.
