Argentine magazine Anfibia presents Chilean version with performance at GAM

The Argentine magazine Anfibia will present a performance on Tuesday at the GAM cultural center, as part of its launch in Chile.
The event will be held at 9:00 p.m. and will feature the participation of actress Blanca Lewin, protagonist of the performance “Puchuncaví”, along with Katta Alonso, president of the organization Women of the Quintero Puchuncaví Sacrifice Zone.

Directed by the Chilean-Argentine writer and journalist Cristian Alarcón, brand new winner of the Alfagua novel prize, the magazine Anfibia publishes chronicles and narrative essays, as well as training workshops and a podcast. He has ten years of experience in the trans-Andean country.
Among its themes are politics, economy, culture, environment, love and / or sex, education, gender and technology. The Argentine version, directed by Mario Greco and Cristian Alarcón, is edited by the National University of San Martín, a public university in Buenos Aires.
Anfibia Argentina has its main audience in that country, but it is followed by Chile, as well as Mexico, the United States and Spain.
Dialogue
“Revista Anfibia has been putting into practice the dialogue between journalism and academia, the experiences of popular culture and scientific discourse, art and the digital world for more than ten years, accompanying the agenda of issues of the region’s situation from the alliance between the Cronos Civil Association and the National University of San Martín”, explains Leila Mesyngier, editorial coordinator of the magazine.
In 2022, Anfibia Chile opened its doors through the www.revistaanfibia.cl site to tell the events in the heat of the constituent process.
“It had all started with special coverage of the 2019 riots. The explosion and what came after transformed the ways of doing journalism and the contingency required new spaces and languages to tell and interpret stories, scenarios and conflicts, “he explains, along with highlighting a team of journalism and social science professionals who have been accompanying journalist training processes for more than a decade.
Anfibia Chile is jointly financed by the alliance between Cronos and UNSAM, which develops not only the magazine but a huge diversity of content ranging from podcasts to performance and works with international organizations and with companies and advertising revenues.
“In Chile the project was to partner with universities but we realize that international organizations are being supportive – we have the support of the FES (German Friedrich Ebert Stiftung) – and we are excited about several projects for this year and next. The most concrete is one of creative coverage of the constituent assembly that we want to do in alliance with several media, “he said.
