Metallica released their new album “72 Seasons”

The long-awaited moment Metallica finally released their new album “72 Seasons”, a plate that has already won praise in the international press and that will guarantee a new world tour for the emblematic metal band. The plate features production by Greg Fidelman, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, and includes the inclusion of 12 new tracks within the group’s already bulky discography, which explore the cruelty of youth and the dangers of growing up. At the time of his announcement at the end of last November, James Hetfield highlighted that “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that our parents told us ‘who we are’. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are.” I think the most interesting part of this is the ongoing study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is recreation or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or freeing us from those bonds we carry,” added the leader of Metallica. The release was also accompanied by a new video clip, this time for Sleepwalk My Life Away, a single that comes to succeed others previously released as Lux Æterna, Streaming Suicide and 72 Seasons. On the other hand, Hetfield recently commented that “I hate long songs, Really. I try to write shorter songs and Lars keeps making them longer. And that’s our kind of constant battle.” Something that is particularly curious, about an album in which the shortest song reaches 3 minutes 21 seconds, while the longest reaches 11 minutes and 10 seconds. And there are 6 and seven minutes on average. Listen to the new album here:
