The logo of the 2026 World Cup was presented, which will be played in the United States, Mexico and Canada

During a ceremony held at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, FIFA presented the official logo of the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly organized by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The design was unveiled by Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, and former Brazilian player, Ronaldo. It is a number 26 arranged vertically, which in the middle has the figure of the World Cup. On the other hand, the Somos 26 campaign was also presented, which seeks to empower people, places and communities to play an integral role in the launch of the 2026 World Cup. SOMOS 26 is a rallying cry,” Infantino said. “It is a moment when three countries and an entire continent collectively say: ‘We are united as one to welcome the world and deliver the biggest, best and most inclusive FIFA World Cup in history.’ The tournament will allow each host country and participating team to write their own page in the World Cup history books.” The next World Cup will have for the first time 48 selected instead of the 32 that participated in Qatar 2022, where the Argentine National Team was crowned champion. As confirmed by Infantino, the teams will be grouped by regions to avoid long trips in the first phase of the tournament, which in total will have 104 matches distributed in 16 cities.
