You point it out to me: “Tripolar is the yin yang concept of polar opposites and how they complement each other. The album talks about life”

You pointed it out to me came back and the return was noticed with everything. First with a surprise touch in November at the Vorterix Theater, then between releases of singles and presentations such as their first Works and multi-convening festivals such as Cosquín or Lollapalooza, they finally premiered their third album that shows that the five years of parate were not in vain. Tripolar” is the “New Beginning”, as the first single they released says, is the beginning of a stage in which they exceed the limits of the labels, where they are no longer just an indie band, but the genres transcend them through the meticulous detail of an album that did not skimp on production, skull, cuisine and talents outside the group that put their touch to achieve it. The trio of multi-instrumentalists formed by Juan Saieg, Gabriel “Cocó” Orozco and Lucca Beguerie Petrich are the authors of an album that spreads maturity, evolution and above all neatness, delicacy and existentialism through powerful lyrics that manifest all that evolutionary process. The live premiere of the full album was at the C Art Media Complex. With a 360 experience, surrounded by 3D visual effects on a kind of circular stage, they took their songs on a sound and sensory journey stimulating all the senses. With pandemic through and a five-year parate stage where there was solo work but also collective, apart from the processes in their personal lives, Usted Señalemelo came back and stomped saying: “here we are”. Prior to the live premiere of “Tripolar”, from Filo.News we had the pleasure of talking for a while with the trio and this they told us:After 5 years, so much waiting, the sound polishing process is very noticeable. How was the whole process for “Tripolar” to come out today? Juan: It was a long process, it was very nice to go through it more than anything team and friendship and learn from each other and from one and everything he has to give together and separated by the pandemic. I had a son, I moved to Buenos Aires, Gabi too so there were distances, but the magnetism of UDS (You point it out to me) It united and strengthened us tremendously. It was good that everything was as it was and now it shows in the result. We are happy. Lucca: In the process was Rafa Arcaute, Nico Cotton, Guillermo Vadalá, and even the contribution of Gustavo Santaolalla who joined from the creative and production with a different process to how we had been doing the other albums. There is a new face of UDS all very pro people from whom we learn all the time and we try to approach them to accompany us as long as we can on this path. At some point in these five years, did the anxiety of saying “we miss the stages, the people” eat them? Lucca: It was super strange, it was a process for us the theme of the pause for things that each one needed to live personally because we came from a stage very focused on the band and leaving personal things that one does not have to forget that also has a separate life. It was a nice moment to stop the ball and see where we were standing and see what we wanted. In mid-2021 everything started and we got together and said we have to play and that made us value that stop much more.” I jump into space” he says: “I keep trying to find myself again, so long I look for more.” What did they encounter following the philosophical line of the lyrics but in this process? Cocó: Making as an analogy between the band and that song, that’s why the beauty of that pause and giving yourself a space is to be able to meet again with more strength. You do not have to force if you need a while. How are those songs and metaphors born in which we feel identified when listening to them? Juan: They are born a bit from the concept of “Tripolar”, where we started playing with the yin yang concept of opposite poles and how they complement and coexist in our lives and day to day. The album talks about that, about life and obviously in Tripolar there is no room for words to express it. Then he mutated the name to play with this three-polarity. The album has a lot of load of that, there are some songs that are quite old like “Nena”, which is from 2016 and we recycle it now, “Calma”, “Sol” and “Cabo” are from 2019 and the rest are the ones we did later. With the lyrics we screw up a lot polishing until the last moment and maybe later when you record you say another improvised phrase and it looks great. Although they are the standard and referents of indie with this album they transcend the label of a specific genre … Lucca: It was an album that we sought to do something new for us and it is fundamental in the music we make and something we did was to get rid of any prejudice that we ourselves could get to you.And it was a super important learning process. I think it helps us to get out of that label a little bit that taking into account the movement and the whole independent scene or the new wave of bands that we have been sharing the scene for a long time, we feel that this album is a bit that: to get rid of the fact that UDS is much more than the first album or the second. Tripolar is a faithful photo of what we were feeling in these years.Which artists did you listen to for the composition of “Tripolar”? Lucca: Of everything, The Beatles, Get Back had just come out when we started recording and we were back into that copying everything they did (laughs). Juan: As inspiration is a lot of music, cinema, reading and also of our life. There is no room for artists to express what we lived these years. Cocó: It happened to me that I heard things that nothing to do with Tripolar as a final product. I listened to electronics, super mainstream things that are far out there in quotes to what UDS is, but I think you can steal from everywhere, there is a lot of theft in Tripolar (laughter for others and even accomplices). They say they are the new Soda Stereo in terms of a power trio of today’s rock, how do they get along with that comparison, estimate? They tell us about 15 years ago maybe because there are three of us, it’s nice. We don’t feel that way or it’s something we consciously say. “we have to be like Soda Stereo” Or because the chabones did well and were filled with guita. People compare things and look inside it for what touched them the most out there and Soda lived at that time and sees us like that. Perhaps more than Soda there is a lot of national rock that we have heard in our homes, there is but not directly as a reference or a search. The tour is coming not only in Argentina but for the first time a band from the country will be in the line up of Lollapalooza Chicago, how are you feeling? We are going to do a pretty big tour here in Argentina, we are going to visit a lot of cities, in Mendoza they are melting us (it should be noted that it is their native province in which they have not yet played since their return), Chicago is coming, we try to do it with the caution and the laburo that means. These laburos like playing at the Lolla in Chicago are recognitions that are giving you the music that are beautiful and that ultimately are the ones we come to look for as well.
