Installation of BOI in Llano Grande, municipality of Apatzingán, will allow the return of inhabitants to their communities: SSP and Segob

Morelia, Michoacán.- The federal and Michoacan governments installed an Inter-institutional Operations Base (BOI) in Apatzingán, in the area of Llano Grande-Tepetate-Las Bateas, with the aim of deterring and addressing reports of possible confrontations between civilians, they reported in a statement.
This was reported by the Secretary of Government, Carlos Torres Piña, who said that after a meeting between authorities of the National Guard, the Mexican Army, the Civil Guard and the Municipal Police, it was defined to establish a joint operation to address the incidence of crime.
“We are strengthening the joint work of patrols, operations and reinforcing the presence of security forces in the region in a coordinated scheme,” he said.
Torres Piña said that this action maintains free transit in the region, as well as said that the diagnosis of the 200 refugee families continues, who are given care in the temporary shelter installed in a community of the municipality.
This same weekend, the Secretary of Public Security, José Alfredo Ortega Reyes, on instructions from the governor, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, coordinated the work of the Civil Guard of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) so that in close work with the 43 Military Zone and the National Guard the BOI was installed in the community of Llano Grande. municipality of Apatzingán, with a state of force sufficient to meet the needs of the area.
“We have the task of guaranteeing the safety of citizens in the region and protecting their heritage. We are going to fulfill our instruction in a very close work with the federal authorities so that citizens can be calm in their homes, “said the head of the SSP.
The State Government reiterates its commitment to guarantee through coordinated actions the surveillance and security in that region, always seeking the welfare of citizens.
