Morelia, Michoacán. – The operational coordination in matters of public security between the Federation, State and the municipality of Morelia, has achieved a decrease in the incidence of crime, informed the Secretary of Government, Carlos Torres Piña, according to a statement.
The above, after heading, together with Mayor Alfonso Martínez Alcázar, the Security Table of Morelia, where the most recent figures and their comparison with respect to the period from June 1 to 18 of this year and of the same month but of 2022 were announced.
In this regard, it was reported that there was a decrease in events and victims of intentional homicide in the municipality of Morelia, with a percentage of 26 percent less.
And it is that from June 1 to 18 of last year 23 victims were registered; while in these first 18 days of 2023 there have been 17 events.

“This indicates that the joint actions between the authorities have served to reduce the incidence of crime, we have verified it in most of the municipalities with which we maintain this coordination and in Morelia, we are ratifying it,” said Torres Piña.
The operations and surveillance rounds will continue in a permanent and coordinated manner in the Michoacan capital in order to continue working on the attention and prevention of crime.
