In one year, almost 16,000 formal jobs were generated in Michoacán: Sedeco

With the labor formalization strategy undertaken by the Government of Michoacán, it is expected that more companies will register their workers in social security.
Morelia, Michoacán. – From May 2022 to May 2023, 15,993 formal jobs were generated in Michoacán in the three sectors of the economy, reported the Secretariat of Economic Development (Sedeco), according to a statement.
According to data from the platform Consulta Dinámica Cubos, of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), only from January to May of this year, when the last report was generated, 4 thousand 744 new jobs were registered in the entity.
To date, in Michoacán there is a total of 480,918 workers affiliated to the IMSS.

It should be noted that there is a cyclical trend of job losses in the primary sector between the months of April and May, a period in which it has been identified that coincides with the end of the berry harvest period.
On the other hand, with actions such as the labor formalization strategy undertaken by the Government of Michoacán, in conjunction with companies in the three sectors of the state economy, it is expected that more economic units will register their workers in social security, in order to comply with the provisions of labor legislation. both national and international.
