With mournful ceremony, we bid farewell to fallen elements in the line of duty: SSP

Morelia, Michoacán.- This day, the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), paid tribute to the fallen elements in the line of duty last Thursday in the town of Felipe Carillo Puerto “La Ruana”, belonging to the municipality of Buenavista.
“Today we meet with deep respect, pain, gratitude and admiration to pay a well-deserved tribute to brave members of the Civil Guard. Today is a sad day for Michoacán, and especially for its Civil Guard, however, this day is worthy to recognize brave men who sacrificed their lives for the safety of others, and who daily, when they got up and left their homes, wore the uniform with great honor and pride, “said José Alfredo Ortega Reyes, SSP holder.

It was in the facilities of the institution, where the civil guards together with relatives and authorities held a farewell ceremony, recognizing the work and commitment to Michoacán of agents Roberto Naranjo Andrade, Calixto Álvarez Andrade and Gamaliel Alcantar Reyes, who lost their lives while performing security work in Buenavista.
“Our comrades have made it clear to the citizens that in any situation, for a civil guard to protect the lives of Michoacans is the most important thing. For their companions they are an example of courage, behavior, discipline, disposition and dedication, even of their own lives. On behalf of the thousands of civil guards of Michoacán, we express our personal and institutional solidarity, we accompany them by the arm in their mourning and we are united in their sorrow,” concluded Ortega Reyes.
The SSP reiterates that it continues with the coordinated work with FGE and authorities of the three levels of government, for the clarification of this cowardly attack. Support is also provided to family members during the respective procedures.
