L-Ghent will remain in detention: Justice ordered preventive detention

After being arrested on June 6 under the accusation of the crimes of “threats”, “illegitimate deprivation of liberty” and “simple possession of narcotics”, the Justice dictated preventive detention to the singer of cumbia 420, L-Gante, for which he will remain detained. Based on this determination, requested by the prosecutor Raúl Villalba and complied with by the judge of guarantees Gabriel Alberto Castro, the artist will be transferred to a prison of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service (SPB). The document stated: “I resolve to order the preventive detention of Elián Ángel Valenzuela, of other personal conditions that work in the epigraph, considering him ‘prima facie’ criminally responsible author of the crimes of simple threats in real competition with illegitimate deprivation of liberty in ideal contest with coercive threats; unlawful deprivation of liberty in ideal competition with threats; and simple possession of narcotics.” On Saturday, the musician made a post on his Instagram account in which he thanked those who support him: “Another night. Another day. Another rhyme. Other poetry. Another bed that is not mine. Another drink for the Wound.” It should be noted that he has been housed in the DDI of Quilmes for more than a month and that, on June 18, he made a request for “immediate freedom” that was immediately rejected by the magistrate. The musician was arrested after being denounced by Darío Gastón Torres and Rosa Catalina Passi for kidnapping them and threatening them with a firearm after a conflict with a group of friends of Valenzuela at the exit of a dance bowling alley in the Buenos Aires town of General Rodríguez.
