Dani, between his show in Niceto, the battles and his desire to release singles

Dani Ribba will perform at Niceto Club next Friday, July 14, in a show in which he will be shown with his band and several guest artists. The artist gained experience with his tour abroad that starred in the first half of the year, when he traveled to Mexico and Spain, and hopes to be much looser on stage. In an exclusive interview with Filo.News, he teased details of the show, revealed his future work, and talked about his current relationship with battles. How are you preparing? – Well, tremendous. I’m rehearsing full, singing lessons, performance and everything, all the chiches. Six months ago my first show, which I organized 20 days before, in the middle of December 29 I think it was. And now what’s changing, what’s going to make a difference? You already have a lot more experience, you went on tour. – We can say that I’m a little more oiled in that, as it was my first show, I had not gone out to play anywhere and suddenly I went to Mexico, where we had six dates, two in Spain. The band is much more prepared, in what is perfo, the show, much looser. And what can you anticipate of what is coming now? Are there going to be guests?– There will be guests who could not go to Groove, there will be guests with whom I collaborate on songs of theirs that are not mine, but that people ask me to sing, also in staging we are betting strong, it will be very good and above all to be able to play with the band that in the tour of Europe and in Mexico I could not do it. For you as an artist, what does playing with a band or playing only with a track change you? Do you feel it much more special?– I think it gives an addition also for the audience and for the live experience. I was always in favor of liking to play with track because the original theme was maintained that maybe is reverted a little with the band, but nowadays I feel that it gives it that special touch. It’s good to have both, you saw, also in Europe and in Mexico I also loved singing with a track. I feel that the essence of the song is fully transmitted. It gives an extra, an add-on, to the experience of playing with the band today. What are you working on? – I have several songs there fighting to see which one I get first. Now, just before Niceto, on 12/7, a song is going to come out that I can not advance the name, but that we are going to premiere it there and that will be great also to see the spontaneous reaction of the people two days after having released it. But are you working on a new album, just songs? – I’m starting to think about the next album but I also want to show singles. I’m more in the moment of going to the studio to enjoy and make good songs than thinking about a concept of an album that I feel takes a job. I want to enjoy more and show looser facets maybe than encapsulating them on a record. And are you trying new sounds or are you following more or less the same style you have been working on? Do you think of a boom bap like you did with Frane and Mir Nicolás?– Of course, Frane baites me a band and Nico for me is the best of the rappers here and I said, you have to record a song. And I loved the vibe it has too. I’m not doing that wave so much, but it was also the one that represented me the most at the time, listening to it and being able to make a song with them was incredible. I never leave it aside and I always record my boom baps there, but well, I also come with other concerns, I feel that it is such a style that I have tanned for a long time, that I also like to try new things and challenge myself, I like to search a little more and do things like they complicate me. In Argentina, specifically here, you have your audience perhaps much more accustomed to seeing you in what freestyle is than it is in your recent career as a singer and artist. Do you think so? How do you have to educate him? – I think so, but people also see the artistic side and banking too much. I feel that there was also a crazy thing with Argentine freestyle, which is like impossible to erase from people’s heads. So that’s always going to be there. But I feel that they have it well differentiated the two facets, so they bank me in both. What is the experience of returning to FMS again? – It was tremendous, I wanted to compete a long time ago, for reasons of time I don’t get so much. And when they told me to compete against Jaze, I said of course, he breaks it, I had seen him in a couple of videos, I didn’t know him much. I said ‘it helps me to compete against someone from the circuit to get back into more rhythm’ because I thought maybe some colleague who would notor is so linked to freestyle today as to be on an equal footing. And at the same time I liked that too because I said ‘it’s going to put me a little more in rhythm of having to try harder’. I expected us to attack each other more, but well, we have good vibes and I understand that I was also not in that plan and it was like good, there we measured ourselves and we gave a good show. I was left wanting to let go a little more blood, but it was very good. You had also sent the Red Bull video, hadn’t you? -Yes, that too. That was crazy because I came wanting to compete in any event and when I saw the registrations I said ‘they are going to close’, then I send the video and then I see, I did not know what date it was or if I was going to coincide with something, I said ‘I send it and that’s it’. And of course, when they told me from Red Bull that there were regionals, I didn’t know, I thought it was directly in October the national. So of course, I coincided two regionals with the trip in Mexico and then I had another trip to record in the United States and of course I did not arrive, I could not go to the regionals. Did you see the Bazooka League? What do you think of what is being created there? I went to the opera when it was done now. It was tremendous, the truth is that the vibe up there on stage, guy with all the rappers of the old school, the new school, it’s like a tremendous feeling and they give mass. They write very well, I get used every now and then… That battle I do admire, freestyle I really don’t, but I don’t feel qualified to write three rounds, have to do the performance up there, don’t forget it. It is an important task of concentration and devote the necessary time to that to make it a jewel. And I don’t feel that way for now. And who did you like the most? – Brilliant is one of the ones I like the most. The Chili also has a crazy style that catches me. Then I was surprised by Jaff, he broke it. And well, there are many, really. I’ll see if I pass the 16. It’s going to be good. I wanted to make a parallel with your mythical bar of “la melodía” and “la compe”. Now maybe you missed him a little more. – Obviously, yes. Let’s see, it’s something I always did and well, I still rap at home. So, there’s always that desire. Beyond the fact that one is focused on what he wants to do, it is like one always ends up coming back a little bit to get that desire and I do it every so often. Well, last year there was also a compe in the square, DEM, and whenever I have an opportunity there I do it to get the desire. What’s left for the end of the year, post show? – After that we go to Spain again, we continue with the tour a little bit. And then I want to do a tour of the interior here as well. To launch some themes that I have there, collaborations and others. We are going to be full for the remaining six months.
