Cecytem: hotbed of talented young people; win 54 medals in 4 months

Morelia, Michoacán. – In the last four months, students of the College of Scientific and Technological Studies of the State of Michoacán (Cecytem), have won 54 medals in academic competitions, 15 accreditations for national and international competitions, two honorable mentions, and one recognition, according to a statement.
The general director of the upper secondary education subsystem, Víctor Manuel Báez Ceja, stressed that two medals are platinum, 27 gold, 16 silver and nine bronze; in addition to participation in three international and 12 national events where the students raised the name of Cecytem and Michoacán.
“With these triumphs we show that Cecytem offers education of excellence, and with this we endorse the commitment of Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla to provide quality education as a tool for peace and transformation,” he said.

Cecytem youth have competed against students from countries such as Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine.
“The entire Cecytem community recognizes the talent and triumphs of the students, the great talent they have each, as well as the teachers who guide and involve the students in the projects they present, all of them deserve our recognition,” he said.
