Rodríguez Larreta and Morales presented their proposals on energy matters of their campaign

The presidential candidate of Together for Change, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, together with his deputy, Gerardo Morales, presented today in Jujuy the energy proposals of his campaign. Morales said that if the formula reaches the Casa Rosada they will “update the regulatory framework of renewable energies.” He also postulated changes in the functioning “of the regulatory entities (of energy) so that they have a clear role and are protagonists of the energy market, because they have to take care of the rights of users.” The head of the UCR pointed out the need to “expand the capacity of electric transport” and pointed out that the current system is “collapsed.” Then he said that another of the objectives will be “that 30 percent of energy generation is renewable, and we are going to do it in the four years of management.” For that, he mentioned that work will be done on a “federal distributed generation plan, which will lower the cost of energy generation, with an investment of 9 billion dollars and will generate 20,000 jobs.” Finally, Morales indicated that the plan includes promoting, in addition to lithium, other resources such as nickel, cobalt and zinc, and said that “in many cases Argentina is already positioning itself as an exporter of these natural products.” After the pre-candidate for vice president of Together for Change finished his presentation, Larreta took the floor and said that “we are saying how we are going to do it, unlike other candidates, we have management experience and we show facts, actions, which is what changes people’s lives.”
