SNTSS will seek to expedite construction of new IMSS hospital in Uruapan: Bedolla

In a meeting with Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, the general secretary of the National Union of Social Security Workers (SNTSS), Arturo Olivares Cerda, pledged to support the efforts so that the new IMSS hospital in Uruapan is executed in 2024, as reported in a statement.
The above, after the general director of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), Zoé Robledo Aburto, informed the governor that the members of the Technical Council approved receiving in donation, the properties of Uruapan and Zitácuaro proposed to build hospital infrastructure.
In the case of the land of Uruapan, of 4.8 hectares of surface on the Uruapan-Lázaro Cárdenas highway, it was acquired by the Government of Michoacán for just over 70 million pesos, while the property of more than two hectares of Zitácuaro, was donated by the municipality in the town of San Juan.

To which the secretary general of the SNTSS, celebrated that the projects are advanced and announced that he will seek to meet with the Technical Council, to finalize the approval of construction of the General Hospital of 90 beds and 14 specialties in Uruapan.
“It is urgent to expedite the procedures so that this work is included in the investment portfolio of 2024 and we are going to support the project to expand coverage to the entitlement,” he said.
The governor stressed that these works will cover medical services to lagging localities of the Purépecha Plateau and other nearby regions, so he thanked the commitment of the union leadership to support the execution of the same.
