The defense of César Sena said that Cecilia could have left “by her own means”

Since Wednesday, the Court of Criminal and Correctional Appeals heard the oral presentations of the defense of César Sena, accused of the femicide of Cecilia Strzyzowski, disappeared since June 2 in Resistencia, Chaco. Sena’s lawyer, Gabriela Tomljenovic, told the Chamber that “if there really was a plan, an agreement of wills since May to kill Cecilia, why would they have chosen as the place to make it their house, which is a place to which many people had access.” Why do it and supposedly leave Cecilia’s body at a time when every Friday a person went to iron? In fact, he was ironing for more than an hour that day. Marcela Acuña herself (mother of César and detained in the framework of the case) opened the door and left with Emerenciano Sena (father of the main accused, also arrested) leaving this person ironing, “he said. And then he added, “You don’t find any kind of logic that they left and left that person alone knowing there was a body in the house.” As for the finding of Cecilia’s blood on the furniture donated by the Sena family, Tomljenovic mentioned that “it can give various interpretations such as what Cecilia’s doctor stated that in 2019 he consulted him for the first time for hypermenorrhea, which is abundant menstrual bleeding.” For her part, Nahir Barud, a lawyer who was constituted as a plaintiff by the Chaco State, refuted the defensive positions, assessing “the context of gender violence, the description of the house and where the event took place and the hierarchical relationship between Obregón and González with Acuña, Emerenciano and his son”, among other evidence. How the cause follows
Following the arguments presented, the judges went to an intermediate room for next Tuesday morning with the decision on the different proposals. On August 4, the judge of Guarantees Héctor Sandoval had already confirmed the preventive prisons of Emerenciano and Acuña.In addition, last week, new messages were known from Marcela Acuña’s cell phone that commit her more in the cause: “Fabi I think something serious happened with César, talk to Gustavo (Obregón), do not tell Eme or César, I’m desperate,” Acuna told her in one of the messages sent and whose content was incorporated into the judicial file.
