The Government agreed with the prepaid price freeze for 90 days

After Sergio Massa’s announcements last Sunday, among which was a restriction on the increase in prices in medicines, the prepaid companies – which in the first place did not comply with the measure – agreed during this afternoon to freeze for 90 days. Until yesterday, the employers pointed out that the measure had not been formalized, so it was not yet in force and, from this episode, the affiliates were warned by the increase of 6.97%.” The Prepaid Medicine companies agreed to maintain without increases the quotas for ninety -90- days for family groups with incomes not exceeding $ 2 million gross per month and to the extent that they declare not to have economic capacity that allows them to face the quota with the current adjustment scheme of the health cost index, ” explained the Argentine Health Union through a statement. In that line, they clarified that “the Prepaid Medicine companies point out that the September fee was already invoiced in the last half of August, with which the agreement is valid from September.” Likewise, affiliates who wish to access the benefit must complete an application available on the website of the Superintendence of Health Services through which they will declare their income and detail “that they do not have the financial capacity”. The measure may be used by families whose income does not exceed 2 million pesos gross per month, and will only serve for the family group that does not own two or more properties or three or more vehicles -except for the presence of a cohabitant with Unique Certificate of Disability (CUD)-.
