75 Legislature offers solidarity and accompaniment to relatives of Jesssica González Villaseñor

Morelia, Michoacán.- The 75th Legislature of Michoacán today offered its solidarity accompaniment to the family of Jessica González Villaseñor, in their struggle to achieve the justice they long for their daughter, as reported in a statement.
On the third anniversary of the young woman’s death, Deputy Laura Ivonne Pantoja Abascal, president of the Board of Directors of the State Congress, attended to Jessica’s relatives and established a work route with them, in order to give them all the support in terms of the initiatives and proposals for reforms that they have presented to the Legislative Power.
Laura Ivonne Pantoja affirmed that the Legislative Branch is open to listening to citizens; to work hand in hand with the people of Michoacán, with respect, empathy and responsibility, in order to generate the tools that contribute to a better Michoacán.
He offered that he will contribute as necessary so that the initiatives presented by Jessica’s relatives are turned over to the Plenary as soon as possible, “we are aware that some of them are already ruled, so they will soon go to a vote,” he explained.
The deputy president also said that many of the proposals and reforms they have presented have to do with federal legislation, so she promised to be the bridge so that, through the Government Secretariat, the relatives of Jessica Villaseñor can meet with members of the Congress of the Union and take their proposals to the Chamber of Deputies.
“Be assured that whatever is within our power, we will do; for now we have to make visible what you do, we have the obligation to support you and all indirect victims, to together improve the legal system in Mexico, “he concluded.
Also present at this meeting were Deputy Anabet Franco Carrizales, president of the Justice Commission and president of the Political Coordination Board (JUCOPO); as well as Raymundo Arreola Ortega, Secretary of Parliamentary Services of this Legislative Power.
