Morelia, Michoacán.- Promote the Law of Protection to mothers, fathers and guardians responsible for family, the Vicarious Law; in addition to bringing events of international stature to Michoacan families, among the highlights of the Commission for Integral Family Development during the second year of activities in the State Congress.
As part of her legislative responsibilities, PES deputy Luz García delivered the report to the president of the Congress Board of Directors, Laura Ivonne Pantoja Abascal.
It highlights the realization of two free international events for Michoacan families, where the importance of life, family, values and political participation of citizens was highlighted. In the first instance, as part of their international tour “How to refute the lies of progressivism?” the Argentines Nicolás Márquez and Christian Iturralde performed.
Weeks later, the Spanish María Herrera Mellado and the Peruvian Miklos Lucaks presented their keynote speech “Biopolitics, power relations in Ibero-America”. Both events were very attractive for Michoacan families, who gathered in large numbers at the Colegio de Morelia to be part of these events of international stature.
Finally, among the challenges for 2023-2024, is the approval of the initiative for the protection of family leaders, which is in commissions, as well as promoting initiatives focused specifically on children and adolescents, as well as maintaining work for the protection of older adults.
“Together with my fellow commissioner, Deputy Monica Valdez, we have made important progress for families, we seek to create legislative tools for the protection of each and every one of its members. It has not been easy, it is a new commission, and like everything, it needs time to consolidate each of the initiatives,” said Luz García.
