Today the candidates for Head of Government debate: time and TV, who participates and the thematic axes

In the run-up to the presidential debate next Sunday, the candidates for head of the Buenos Aires Government will present their proposals for the Federal Capital tonight to the public. The discussion will last for 90 minutes and can be followed from 20 through the City Channel.The candidates who committed their participation are Jorge Macri (Together for Change); Leandro Santoro (Union for the Fatherland); Ramiro Marra (La Libertad Avanza) and Vanina Biasi (Frente de Izquierda). They are the four who were elected in the PASO of August 13. The debate between the candidates to succeed Horacio Rodríguez Larreta will be structured in four thematic axes.• Autonomy, Political System, Justice and Security
• Education, Health, Culture, Human Development, Gender and Diversity
• Housing, Environment and Productive Development
• Infrastructure, Urban Management and Urban CodeAs explained by the Institute of Electoral Management, the air channels América, Canal 9, Telefe, El Trece and TV Pública were invited to propose pairs of journalists who will lead each of the blocks of the debate. The location of the candidates emerged from a draw that was carried out with the presence of representatives of all the political forces involved. Thus, chance defined that the lecterns will be occupied, from left to right -from the perspective of the spectator-, in the following order: Together for Change, Union for the Fatherland, Left and Workers Front Unity and Freedom Advances.Likewise, the participating groups agreed on the proposal to hold the debate without the presence of the public and in the television studio located at Calle Esparza No. 39, in line with the modality carried out in previous editions.How will the debate be? The day will repeat the structure made in previous editions of “The City Debate”, which include an opening, a presentation, the thematic debate and a closing. The opening will be in charge of the moderation team, which will make the introduction and explain the dynamics of the day. The candidates will meet on their respective lecterns from the beginning of the broadcast. Each candidate will have one minute to make their presentation, at which time they will not be able to refer to other participants. Once the presentation has been made, it will be the turn of the thematic debate, where each topic includes time of presentation of the proposal by each participant, crosses of questions prefixed by public draw and a closing space for each thematic axis. After a brief introduction to the topic by moderators, it will be the turn of the presentation of each candidate, who will have one minute thirty seconds. After speaking, each candidate will receive a question from another candidate and the answer will not exceed one minute. In order of presentation of the topic, each candidate will have one minute for the closing of the thematic axis. The orders of presentation of each participant and the turns to ask the other candidates were drawn publicly. For the closing block, each candidate will have one minute to make a presentation before the final greeting. On the other hand, the Institute of Electoral Management reported that the debates for the candidates for deputies will be held on Friday, September 29, also at 20; and those of candidates for comuneros will be from October 2 to 6.
