Invested more than $5.2 billion pesos for two toll-free highways: Bedolla

Morelia, Michoacán. – With an investment of more than 5,200 million pesos of private investment by the concessionaire Red de Carreteras de Occidente (RCO), the Ecuandureo-La Piedad highway was completed, and progress is being made in the modernization of the Maravatío-Zitácuaro branch, Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla said in a statement.
Bedolla explained that in the conclusion of the 22-kilometer stretch from Ecuandureo to La Piedad, which is toll-free, one thousand 200 million pesos were invested.
For his part, the Secretary of Communications and Public Works, Rogelio Zarazúa Sánchez, pointed out that there are one thousand 500 jobs that were generated directly in this work, it will connect with the Libramiento Martí Mercado de La Piedad.

Similarly, the head of the agency stressed that the Maravatío-Zitácuaro branch is in process, with a length of 71.3 kilometers, where 4 billion pesos of investment were assigned and that it will also be toll-free.
These works will have permanent maintenance until 2037, guaranteeing the safety of motorists who travel on these roads.
He pointed out that at least eight other road infrastructure works are underway in the region, such as the Tanhuato-Vista Hermosa highway; Quiringüicharo-Cieneguitas; La Tecomatán-La Soledad; the Zamora Southern Beltway, which is 50 percent complete; Jacona-Los Reyes-Peribán; the linear park of Zamora; the San Antonio-La Jabonera; Cuitzeo-Zináparo, with an advance of 20 percent; as well as the Zacapu-Villachuato.
